Notice to Borrowers and Other Interested Parties

Foreclosure

The commissioner is not the proper person to resolve disputes between the borrower and the lender as to the propriety of the sale.  The borrower may need to consult with an attorney for professional advice if sale is disputed.

The commissioner’s office opens a file on a foreclosure sale when the trustee files their account, or six months after the date of sale, if an account has not yet been filed.  No information is available before this time.

The commissioner’s office has no information about pending foreclosures prior to the sale.
